Since the founding of JUMEDIS we have remained true to our core competence: the enlargement of our corporate clients’ existing business through portfolio expansion and internationalisation. Thereby, we remain strictly focused on the pharmaceutical, medical devices, diagnostics and health care sectors.

After more than twenty years of industry experience in multinational pharmaceutical companies the step into free enterprise meant for the company founder, Dietmar Hofstätter, the realisation of an already long-held aspiration. Previously, he was Global Managing Director for Marketing and Sales and as such executive board member in Austria’s Ebewe Pharma (now Sandoz Oncology Injectables), before that Business Development Director and board member at Asta Medica (now Meda AB), Business Development Manager and Administration Manager Eastern Central Europe at Wyeth-Lederle (now Pfizer), and Sales Manager for Latin America and the Middle East at Sandoz / Biochemie. Not without pride he looks back on a multitude of market entries, licensing agreements and strategic business alliances that he has initiated and implemented during his management career, and that have been for years operative and successful to this day.

Before joining the pharmaceutical industry Dietmar Hofstätter was temporarily officer in the Austrian Army, including overseas deployment in the UN peacekeeping forces in Syria, Lebanon and Israel. He speaks German, English, Spanish and French.


Holding a PhD in law, he is frequently assigned to draft and negotiate the underlying agreements as well. In doing so, it has  always been his particular concern to design them well balanced, workable and understandable for everyday use. Practicability and clarity for the involved have clear primacy over number of pages or “legalese”. Consequently, JUMEDIS now offers its customers that extraordinary combination - project management and legal work from one source - as a specific feature.
